  • As part of one of our cross-disciplinary teams of engineers you'll use your knowledge and expertise in a variety of methodologies and toolsets to develop innovative end user solutions to meet customer needs within their home buying journey.
  • Develop and adopt exciting new technologies and become an active member of Communities of Practice, Engineering guilds and working groups across the bank.
  • Play a key role in the future developments of our home purchase sales journey - crafting, building, testing and deploying software to deliver for our customers and colleagues.
  • Utilise new and innovative technologies whilst also harnessing and maintaining existing systems that are currently the engine room of our platform.
  • Work closely with the other Environment Engineers and Quality Engineers in the team to help define and implement a future test environment whilst exploring opportunities to utilise containers and modern DevOps practices
  • Involvement in maintaining and diagnosing network related issues such as security certificates, firewalls and load balancers


What we need from you:
  • You have had experience of software development using the C# language and modern web technologies, especially Typescript/JavaScript (ideally Node.js and react.js)
  • You have knowledge of writing RESTful APIs and web services
  • You ll need to obtain a working knowledge of the current non-production test environments
  • Real world experience in using any of the following technologies: Urban Code Deploy UCD, PowerShell, SonarQube, Nexus IQ, GitHub, Azure API Management, Jenkins and SoapUI / Postman would be advantageous
  • You'll have broad technical knowledge of industry leading techniques like agile development practices, continuous integration, test automation and source code management lifecycles.
  • Experience of monitoring and maintaining the health and performance of an estate with 300 virtual servers
