Job Title: Head of Internal Communications Region: Haig House, London (Hybrid Working, 2 days a week in the office) Directorate: Remembrance & Marketing Contract: Permanent. Full time, 35 hours per week Salary: £59,802 - £62,877 (Inclusive of London Weighting) The Role At the Royal British Legion, we believe in building on potential. As the Head of Internal Communications, you will be responsible for setting the standards and vision for Internal Communications and Engagement collaborating with members of the Executive Board (EB), Directorate Senior Leadership Teams, and stakeholders across the RBL Group, ensuring the principles of 'One Legion' are effectively understood, as well as informing the strategies of the wider teams within the organisation. If successful, the main duties of your role will be: Develop and deliver impactful strategies, plans and projects, ensuring key stakeholders are effectively engaged in the development of strategies and plans, to ensure a trusted and transparent relationship is maintained and enables RBL to meet its wider strategic objectives. Develop and apply knowledge of key drivers in making long range strategic decisions in relation to Communication and Engagement with our Employees and Members. Lead RBL's Internal Communications and Engagement activities, delivering an inclusive and high functioning service offer that evolves to meet the needs of audience and 'customers', collaborating with colleagues to ensure strategies and plans are aligned. Lead and develop the people within the Internal Communications and Engagement Team enabling individuals and the team to excel in their delivery of services and support. Ensure that strong leadership, people management practice is built into decision making, business planning and risk management across the service area. Develop and maintain effective relationships across the RBL Group and ensure that RBL's strategic business objectives and plans are effectively supported. Ensure internal communication infrastructure and channels are developed and embedded to enable effective messaging to our Employees and Members. Please note that this role is based at our London office, which is located at Haig House, 199 Borough High Street, London SE1 1AA. London Weighting is offered to candidates based at Haig House with an expectation to attend the London office regularly (minimum of 2 days per week).
