To help drive this, is the Medical Digital Engagements Team - part of Medical Digital, Data, Analytics and Systems which sits within a newly created business area called Medical Digital and Tech.

Although Pharma has been one of the last industries to embrace digitisation, change is emerging fast, providing opportunities for GSK.

Job Purpose:

Engaging with our medical customers, the Digital Engagements team works across all therapy areas and regions to help change the digital mindset of our internal staff, healthcare professionals and patients, helping to improve their confidence in - and use of - digital channels. This includes virtual meetings, digital advisory boards, online communities, virtual congresses, use of messaging services/email, external facing portals, digital platforms and the integration of these channels into an Omnichannel experience for HCP's through Global Hypercare Support.

In this role you will act as the implementation manager for medical DDCX through your key membership in the Global Medical 'Hypercare' model (which leverages an agile approach to execution) and play an important role in helping TA's and LOC's accelerate medical DDCX and digital strategy. Partnering with TA's, building efficiencies across brands and leveraging key learnings from commercial through close partnerships is an important part of the ole.

It is an exciting time as the team kicks off phase 2 of the Medical Omnichannel roll out and works closely with commercial to plan the future of Medical DDCX through the Power Up Program. We have a team of strategic subject matter experts, developing strong cross functional partnerships to deliver more across GSK though services, agile methodologies and best practice partnering with our commercial and tech organisation.

The team owns Medical platforms in this space such as virtual meetings, digital advisory board solutions, the business strategy for the Global Medical Affairs Portal as well as the 'Hypercare' approach to global medical omnichannel/DDCX implementation.

You will collaborate with business customers, help shape strategy, develop services, manage vendors, define best practice, develop processes and guidance and lead key working groups. Use of metrics and communications is important to drive uptake and share what good looks like, helping to drive improved confidence in digital, helping teams use and incorporate digital into their business plans. You will also need to understand and follow our governance and compliance frameworks.

  • Be the subject matter expert, working collaboratively across all teams, leveraging existing solutions to provide guidance and define best practice around Medical Digital Engagement
  • Collaborate with business, vendors, commercial and tech teams to scope, plan and embed digital experiences for our target customers
  • Working with the Digital Engagements Lead & partners to evolve and shape the role of Digital engagement in Medical Affairs
  • Partnering with the Global Medical Hypercare Team of SME's to implement medical omnichannel globally through agile ways of working
  • Monitor the external digital landscape, stay apprised of new and emerging innovations, evaluating new trends and help offer creative solutions and craft a long-term vision for Digital Engagements in Medical Affairs
  • Be knowledgeable and work within governance & compliance frameworks, manage risk and mitigation approaches

Detailed Areas of Focus:
  • Delivery and Integration of Medical Digital Channels - Digital Channel SME's for TA's:
    • Embedding Medical Digital Channels Frameworks and Omnichannel value and promoting use within the TA's/Brand Planning
    • SME's for TA's on scientific engagement digital user journeys and integration of medical digital channels (including approval of new approaches through global legal and compliance)
    • Omnichannel implementation specific project management as required (ie. timelines for Global - LOC localization of medical UJ's etc)
    • Sharing best practices and key learnings of medical omnichannel LOC execution across TA's for awareness
    • Single point of contact for mDDAS partners
    • Interlock between Global TA's and LOC implementation of omnichannel
    • Sharing of TA initiatives, projects and learnings across other TA's via the agile hyper care team - therefore ensuring we are building efficiencies, centralizing and optimizing as needed
  • Delivery of Medical Omnichannel User Journeys in priority LOCs :
    • Omnichannel implementation leads interconnecting the Global Agile Hypercare team, LOCs and TA's
    • Guidance on Omnichannel Value, connecting local needs with appropriate medical UJ's
    • Educating LOC's on available medical channels, content, channel readiness for medical and resources needed to execute
    • Connecting LOC teams with appropriate Global contacts to support the standing up and readying of medical channels (MA Portal, Veeva 1:1 Email, Timeline, MyInsights, NBSA, Analytics, Capabilities)
    • Maintenance and consultation plans post launch to continue to provide support as needed

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

Passionate about digital, healthcare, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Digital/Systems/Platform experience in Medical/Development/Commercial/Pharma environment highly desired
  • Degree in Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Business Management, Digital, systems or related field
  • Experience in Agile Ways of Working is an asset
  • Formal Project Management experience is an asset
  • Prior expertise in digital roles is preferred especially in healthcare
  • You are an action and people oriented individual
  • You like to challenge the status quo and the usual way things are done
  • You have creative mind with analytical skills backed up by a pragmatic approach
  • Strong project management and communications skills

If you have the following characteristics it would be a plus:
  • Proven project & service management skills
  • Knowledge Share & Communication and negotiation skills
  • Agency experience (digital or media) is desirable
  • Technical experience in Digital/Systems
  • Experience working through agile methodologies
