Key Skills/Experience

• Data experience as Data Architect, Lead Data Engineer, Data Scientist or similar role
• Strong knowledge o fdata base structure systems
• Understanding of data base structure principles
• Good exposure to Data Warehouse and Data Lake technologies ideally around Azure
• Knowledge of Azure Cloud Services such as DataBricks, Azure DataFactory, Azure SQL, CosmosDB, Cognite Services, Storage Accounts, Azure Service bus, Azure Functions, Event Hub, Synapse and Azure Purview.
• Understanding of Microsoft SQL Server and datamodelling
• Knowledge of designing, constructing, administering, and maintaining data warehouses and data lakes
• Experience of working with structured and unstructured datasets
• Data applications, workflows and landscapes, inc ML and AI technologies
• Data models and ETL
• Data lake and data warehouse end to end architecture
• Integration between back-office solutions such as CRM, CMS and analytics.
• Service-oriented and message-oriented integration.
• Developed Architecture in agile/iterative environments with experience of methodologies such as SCRUM, RUP, Lean and DSDM.
• Skilled and structured in software and systems architecture with knowledge of UML, logical, physical, data modelling and pattern-based architecture design techniques.
• Provides architectural direction, inspiring and engaging teams to deliver excellence.
• Worked both in transformational programmes and in agile product environments, with awareness of methodologies such as PRINCE2 and SCRUM
• Strong at problem solving
• Knowledgeable in software engineering techniques
• Passion for emerging technologies and trends

It is essential that all Data Architects have first class communication skills - both written and verbal, great team working skills, well organised, show initiative, logical thinker, work to strict deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
