The Atlas Recruitment Group are currently searching for a Senior IT Security Engineer to join a Change & Transformation organisation on a remote working, permanent basis.

You will be joining the organisation during a key period of growth and development as they continue to drive their operation towards becoming one of the top IT consulting partners across the UK. They are a Microsoft Gold Partner and specialise in providing Cloud Transformation services to the public and private sector, servicing back-office functions.

They are currently building out their Security function and are looking for professionals with a track record of securing technical environments and ensuring their resiliency at Enterprise level.

Within the role, you will be responsible for looking after any incidents that come into the team and taking a lead on project deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitoring the application and compliance of security operation procedures, and reports on non-compliance
• Draft and maintain policy, standards, procedures and documentation for security administration, taking account of current best practice, legislation and regulation
• Advise on and assist with the assessment of the potential impact on existing access security mechanisms of specific planned technical changes
• Own and facilitate the evaluation, testing and implementation of such changes
• Ensure that any system changes required to maintain security are implemented, including monitoring of changes carried out by others
• Bring any potential breaches in Security to the attention of management
• Use network management system software and appropriate analysis equipment to collect routine network load statistics
• Investigate and diagnose complex high impact network problems, working with users, other staff and suppliers as necessary
• Develop standards, procedures and tools, and carry out large scale high impact tasks associated with the planning, installation, upgrade, operation, control and maintenance of security systems and services

Required Knowledge/Experience:

• Remote Access Solutions including IP-SEC VPN's
• Firewall Architecture, support and management
• Network Security Desing Protocols
• Email and internet filtering solutions i.e. ForcePoint, Mimecast etc
• Enterprise Anti-Virus Solutions
