Job Description

Business Analyst required by market leading organisation based in Gloucester with a large element of remote working. The Business Analyst will work with the business unit and IT to deliver business value through new technology introductions. The Business Analyst works with IT business clients to collect, clarify, and translate business requirements into documentation and conceptual design to develop applications and solutions.

The role may call for frequent contact with other companies to research and evaluate technologies in use for current or potential applications and may engage with external consultants and contractors in pursuit of business objectives.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Work with business partners to elicit, analyse, and document business requirements; understand the customer journey and define both traditional User Requirements and User Stories.
  • Facilitate regular requirement gathering and design sessions with the user community and communicate expectations to the IT development team.
  • Negotiate business solutions that satisfy requirements and deliver business value while ensuring consistency with architectural guidelines and security standards.
  • Work with multiple stakeholders to assess the impact of proposed solutions, facilitate deployments and minimise disruption to services.
  • Liaise with IT project teams to communicate business priorities, translate business requirements into technical requirements and identify appropriate solutions.
  • Promote architectural consistency and usability standards.
  • Read, analyse, and interpret documents and technical procedures
  • Understand business complexity and project interdependencies
  • Understand business process modelling techniques
  • Understand various software development lifecycles (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
  • Working experience within Scrum Teams and on Agile Sprints

Experience Required:

  • A minimum of 5 years in a business analysis capacity
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms - preferably cloud based solutions like Salesforce Suite (Sales cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud etc.)
  • Web based & Ecommerce solutions for customers & end consumers.
  • Experience of working in both Waterfall and Agile environments
  • Able to convert business requirements into 'user stories', 'Epics' etc.
  • This position requires 10-20% travel for a maximum of 2 weeks at a time mainly around Europe.

This fantastic role comes with a starting salary between £50,000-55,000 p/a and is accompanied with a £6,000 annual bonus, a £5,500 car allowance, Life insurance, maternity/paternity and parental leave, Staff Discount, Advance pension plan, Cycle to work scheme, glasses/eye test contribution and a confidential employee assistance line to name but a few.
