Business Systems Application Support Analyst

Our client is looking for a Business Systems Application Support Analyst to join them ASAP. You will need to have a good background with SQL and be fully proficient in writing SQL Queries to conduct detailed data/information analysis. A good level of XML is required in this role also.

You will be primarily responsible in supporting/delivering Strategic Change to the core business systems.

You will also act as the link between technical departments, business departments and external third parties, the Analyst ensures full and detailed requirements are delivered.

The role will be Hybrid working - you will only be required on site at the Head Office once or twice a fortnight.

Essential Skills/Experience

• Write SQL queries to conduct detailed data and/or information analysis
• Read and interrogate XML including an understanding of how to use predicates to navigate an XML tree
• Understand how an XML tree translates into a relational database model
• Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organisation skills
• Analyses problems, thinks creatively, and make effective decisions in the appropriate timescale
• Data and/or information analysis to ensure accurate ETL to Data Warehouse
• Configuration and system administration of Jira Software and Confluence
• Support in house Test Team
• Responsible for delivering change within the organisation by implementing technical changes and conducting code releases between environments.
• Supporting Release Management and Environment Management
• Production Support - Application support for Service Desk
• Undertakes scheduled application maintenance
