Job Description

My client an internationally recognised & prestigious museum, are currently recruiting an Infrastructure Architect to support the IT team's planning, architecture modelling and change management activities by working with the technology teams and change programme. This is initially a 9 month fixed-term contract.

Key responsibilities

  • Gather information regarding in-use technologies from the Museum's infrastructure, application, database, development, support and project teams through interviews and workshops
  • Identify key entity attributes and interconnected relationships between applications and infrastructure
  • Work closely with the Product Owner, to identify the appropriate infrastructure architecture and tools for use across the IS department through requirements workshops and product demonstrations
  • Working to support project and systems development planning
  • Help define and configure standards while modelling the existing technology used across Museum in a centralised repository

Previous skills & experience

  • 3 years of analysis and/or modelling experience
  • Demonstrated skills, and examples of models built using a recognised modelling language (Archimate etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret stakeholder business needs and translate into application and operational requirements
  • Experience of small project management in a number of settings, and of user liaison, collaboration and coordination
  • Able to run small workshops and forums to seek requirements and align teams on new ways of working.
