AD Application Integration Engineer

  • The Active Directory Engineer will be a member of the Active Directory Level 3 Engineering team. The successful candidate will work across various businesses and technology organizations within our company to migrate applications to Active Directory, AD/LDS, ADFS and AZURE.
  • This role requires an in-depth knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Server 2008/2012/2012 AD/LDS, ADFS and AZURE.
  • Knowledge of LDAP integrations as well as SSL protocols, ciphers, encryption and other authentication technologies.
  • Involvement with Kerberos, SPNEGO, SAML, 0Auth, and standard LDAP authentication methods.
  • Skill to troubleshoot application integration issues and assist with application configuration setup. Must be able to work in a team environment with a can do attitude capable of overcoming difficult challenges.
  • Need to understand the Installation, configuration and maintenance of AD/LDS, ADFS and/or Azure systems.
  • Be relaxed working directly with internal and external application team to help with application configurations and migrations Coordinate and lead projects through all phases of design and implementation.

Technical Requirements

  • Least 5 years overall IT experience with 2 - 3 years of experience working with Microsoft Identity technologies.
  • This position is responsible for all aspects of application integrations, including, but not limited to: Azure/O365, Active Directory and ADFS.
  • Expertise of AD, ADLDS and ADFS application authentication and entitlement integration.
  • Be comfortable working directly with internal and external application team to help with use configurations and migrations.
  • Must show a progressive advancement in responsibility including deep troubleshooting technical skills.
  • Self-driven and be able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Required experience working in a regulated banking/financial environment.

Education

Preferred Bachelor's Degree and/or MCSE

Responsibilities

  • The Active Directory Engineer will be a member of the Active Directory Level 2 Engineering team. The successful candidate will work across various businesses and technology organizations within our company to research, design and release standards for corporate Active Directory and related environment.
  • As the Active Directory Level 2 Engineer, you will support Active Directory services and access configuration, implement, and maintain required Active Directory security tools, reporting, and Group Policies, and maintain as well as provide daily support for Active Directory.
  • You will provide guidance, best practices, and operational assistance for the current Active Directory domain, as well as manage daily activities, issues resolution, and communication across teams.
  • You will also drive process improvements, define requirements for different tools used by the team, and create as well as maintain reports and metrics on defects, exceptions, and exemptions.
  • Investigative, creative, and business problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to explain issues and resolutions to technical and non-technical staff.
  • Ability to collaborate well with others to solve problems and actively incorporate input from various sources.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, ie, verbal, written, presentation, and consultative skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and as part of cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to make recommendations to support decisions on risk acceptance and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years overall IT experience with 3-5 years of experience working with Microsoft Identity technologies.
  • Must show a progressive advancement in responsibility including deep troubleshooting technical skills.
  • Information of AD, Windows Server 2008/2012/2012 R2.
  • Knowledge in administering Active Directory (AD) and GPO's.
  • Knowledge of Dell/Quest Active Directory Suite is preferable.
  • Knowledge of UNIX, DNS, DHCP, WINS, DFS, in a Windows 2008/2012 landscape.
  • Must have an understanding of how to identify and instill industry best practices.
  • Extensive experience with infrastructure and server theories, principles and concepts; application infrastructure and standards; networking fundamentals; Windows; Physical Server architecture.
  • Capability to translate technical issues into understandable business language for end users.
  • Develops, documents, and enforces the standards, security procedures, and controls for access to ensure integrity of the Windows Systems, Active Directory, and related systems.
  • Self-driven and be able to work independently within a global team.
  • Wanted experience working in a regulated banking/financial environment.
