My client a well known Corporate company are looking to recruit an Application Support Developer. This role will involve the ongoing support and development of the firm's predominantly web-deployed applications with a view to further expansion into the development and customisation of our 3rd party systems. The development work will be performed in line with the firm's information architecture and in particular will include integration with a variety of the firm's other information systems. This role represents an unique opportunity for the right individual to hone their existing skills and gain commercial experience within a leading law firm using market leading technologies.

Main Duties:

- Maintenance, support and enhancement of existing web, server and desktop applications.
- Working closely with other members of the IT department (including development, core business systems, support and training teams) and with third party software suppliers.
- Providing second line support for applications as and when required.
- Attending any meetings or training sessions as required.
- Carrying out any further duties as required by the IT Director/IT Development Manager or Workflow Applications Architect.

Skills Required:

- Ability to work both self-sufficient and as part of a team
- Demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft PowerShell
- Demonstrable PHP development experience
- Demonstrable MS SQL Server experience
- Demonstrable JavaScript experience
- Demonstrable ASP/VBScript experience
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Understanding of Internet Information Server (IIS)
- A good understanding of development best practice
