We are looking for an enthusiastic project manager to work on a number of exciting Informatics/digital projects at Southampton Hospital and across Hampshire and Isle of Wight (HIOW).
The UHSFT Digital Programme Team are delivering key components of the Trust's Digital Strategy including the Global Digital Exemplar Programme. They work closely with their colleagues in informatics department to introduce new technology and systems to the organisation. They engage with hospital clinicians including the chief clinical informatics officers and the chief nursing informatics and other clinical champions to ensure that projects are clinically led and focused on delivering benefits for staff and patients.
We have a placement available for a Digital Project Manager for Southampton General Hospital (Tremona Road Southampton SO16 6YD).
If you're not already on the bank you will need to be able to provide a reference covering a 6-month period of employment within the last 3 years.
The working hours are Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours, with flexibility around the working hours.
This is a band 7 role, £19.89 an hour.
The role is expected to last 3 months from as soon as possible.
You will be responsible for leading projects to implement new technology in the hospital. This could be new systems or IT. They are exploring new technical solutions to transform the way we manage our theatres and support patients in their surgical pathway from referral to discharge from hospital.
You will be responsible for engaging with a wide group of clinical staff to understand the current challenges. You will also be responsible for working with potential suppliers and undertaking procurement activities. You don't need to have an NHS background, but you must have strong skills in implementing IT projects and supporting process change.
