Job Description

Our client is a market-leading provider of remote telemetry units, secure SCADA systems and business optimisation software. We are transforming how companies around the world use their software to improve productivity.

We're now looking for a Software Developer to take ownership in supporting successful project outcomes as part of an experienced software team producing high quality software to deadlines ensuring user needs are being met.

What you'll be doing:

  • Completing activities during the full software development lifecycle such as requirement analysis, design and implementation of new software features and products, as well as maintenance of the existing functionalities such as resolving defects.
  • Responsible for the completion of agreed developments within the agreed timescales, working either alone or as the lead within a small team.
  • Assist sales and support colleagues to resolve issues on both current and legacy systems quickly and efficiently, liaising with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Define the requirements for, and contribute to the creation and maintenance technical documentation
  • Day to day management and maintenance of SCADA products ensuring effective allocation of resources to encourage development and learning throughout the team.


What we're looking for:

  • Experience in a similar role investigating, defining and resolving complex issues
  • Experience working in an Agile environment with teams across the globe is advantageous
  • Experience of having delivered software using agile methodologies, and experience of working using the scrum framework.
  • Fluent in Java with demonstrable experience
  • Experience of using both Windows and Linux operating systems for both local development and production deployments
