Firmware Developer - FPGA/DSP - Electronic Warfare
Farnborough, Hampshire
£50,000-£55,000 + Training + Progression + Benefits
Excellent role for an FW Developer for an expanding market leader in the defence sector, where you will support the r&d of complex electronic warfare systems.
As part of the Dev team your work spans from understanding systems and their requirements to making architectural design, implementation, integration and qualification testing. The company strongly support their engineers expanding their knowledge into systems engineering, product development and ongoing training.
The business produce and operate the latest and most advanced electronic warfare systems in the world, with growth plans to hire hundreds of additional highly skilled engineers over the next 12 months to support massive growth.
Skills used in the role: (if not strong in some areas training will be provided)
*FPGA design flow
*Utilising FPGA's for signal and data processing
*Simulators - Modelsim/Questa
*FPGA design
*RF receiver architecture and corresponding DSP
In general, the tasks involved in this position are highly technical and focused on RF and Microwave sensors, and advanced computing systems that are used in this domain. You will have opportunities to engage in cutting-edge technology development across modern electronic warfare solutions.
