You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £36,414 - £40,698 per annum.

About Workday

Workday is a core business platform at OS, the "source of truth" for all things people-related. Now that we're in our 2nd year, we are moving into the next phase of product development, a combination of integrations with OS's wider IT estate and implementation of new modules.

We're passionate about how technology helps people make better decisions and have better day-to-day experiences. As part of the team, you'll be responsible for the technical aspects of product improvements and development, feature releases, ownership of Workday module(s) roadmaps and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data. Our work is business-critical, with Workday data feeding Payroll, Finance and other business systems. It is a busy but exciting environment with a great team spirit, where your work will have high visibility and profile with tangible business impact.

Some of our key activities right now include:

  • Integrations with D365
  • Exploring integration opportunities with MS Teams and MS Outlook
  • How Workday can interact with TopDesk functionality
  • Implementation of new Workday modules, including People Analytics, Workday Help & Journeys
  • Exploring opportunities of how Workday can technically support other projects, for example, Identity Management

Your responsibilities as our People System Technical Leadwill include:

  • Configuring & developing change across multiple integration systems in the OS systems estate in a controlled and appropriate way
  • Maintaining author technical specification documents detailing changes undertaken within HR Delivery projects and changes, participating in peer reviews and maintaining system specification documents
  • Ensuring data integrity within Workday, including quality, accuracy, reporting, timeliness, and usability (includes core systems and related interfaces)
  • Providing technical support on ad-hoc projects as required
  • Participating in the bi-annual Workday release cycle including the following activities - researching & assessing changes to existing functionality and any new functionality

What we're looking for in our People System Technical Lead:

  • The ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training
  • Solid understanding of XML and APIs
  • The ability to identify process efficiencies i.e. data flow across systems
  • The ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships
  • A clear communicator, particularly when explaining complex technical principles to non-technical audiences
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience in analysing & cleansing large quantities of data to produce workable business solutions
  • High attention to detail with a drive to investigate complex issues and thoroughly test solutions
  • Experience in UAT & regression system testing
  • A critical thinker with strong time-management, organisation, multi-tasking, and prioritisation skills to meet deadlines is also a must
