Cloud Security Engineer

In the Cloud Engineering team, we are passionate about creating new services that transform colleague and customer experience. Hastings Direct technology, culture and approach is changing to embrace true engineering and cloud first principles. We are looking for an experienced and passionate Security Engineer to join our growing team to deliver a strategic cloud platform on Azure.

What will youdo?

• Be the Lead Engineer for security solutions, ensuring they are implemented effectively in conjunction with the Cloud Engineering, Service, Platform & Technical Operations teams and 3rd parties
• Delivery of secure cloud services with hands-on technical design, implementation and management of core infrastructure & security platforms such as Azure Resources, Azure Active Directory and MMD.
• Working with Architecture to define cloud best practice and then design, build and test cloud native services that provide the appropriate guardrails for developers.
• Validate and ensure cloud solutions meet published enterprise security standards, are governed and delivered appropriately.

What experience do you need?

• Proven track record of infrastructure / technical information security experience and to be seen as a subject matter expert for Cloud Security best practice.
• 5+ years hands-on security / infrastructure engineering experience of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure, AWS, Network Protocols, PKI, proxies, access management, etc.
• 5+ years implementation experience of a wide range of security products such as access audit tools, IDS, IPS, DLP, Firewalls, End Point security, encryption, DDOS protection, etc.

It would be desirable if you had:

• A related degree in subjects such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Security or another related field is desirable
• Security certifications are highly desirable such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM
• Vendor certifications in Microsoft Azure, DevOps Tooling or Kubernetes are desirable
• Recent practical experience in API development and security and secure deployment and management in a cloud native environment.
