IT // Project Manager // Insurance // AGILE // Application Rationalisation // £600 p/day (INSIDE IR35)
Our client a Global Insurer has a requirement for an IT Project Manager to join their IT business. The candidate will be working on Application Rationalisation Projects, focused on the decommission of legacy applications and the rollout of a new platforms for the region. The project is currently in analysis, and the expectation is that the candidate would push this to completion. Looking for candidates with experience in managing regional teams, history of successful project delivery, excellent communication skills, some financial services industry experience would be preferable. The candidate would be expected to use the Microsoft Office suite on a daily basis, and we would expect a good degree of comfort with these. Additionally, some experience with Agile project management tools such as Rally would be beneficial.
Key responsibilities:
- Create and Manage project plan, adhering to timelines and major milestones.
- Own the project RAID log, ensuring risks and issues are communicated and closed out in good time.
- Organise and run regular team meetings to determine project progress and address challenges.
- Prepare and present regular status updates to project stakeholders
A project management certification would be desirable (PMP, PRINCE2, any SAFe or SCRUM certifications)
