Product Designer Wanted!

£500 - £600 Inside IR35

Flexible Remote Working: 85%-90% Remote

Responsibilities:

  • Can work collaboratively with inter-disciplinary teams to develop crafted customer experiences
  • Apply conceptual thinking, bringing together user needs, business goals and technical realities
  • Define the user interface experiences through sketches, information architecture, wireframes and user flows
  • Prototype concepts to help communicate approach and for validate through testing
  • Communicate design rationale and approach, and how it relates to research findings, brand requirements and user needs
  • Create light weight specifications and style guides to supplement designs / prototypes for delivery teams
  • Work collaboratively with on-site and off-site teams to ensure that design specifications are implemented to standard
  • Follow, contribute and maintain a shared component and pattern library to support feature reuse across Digital
  • Develop visual approaches through storyboards, mock-ups, iconography and style-guides
  • Produce animations to demonstrate interactions
  • Participate in and contribute to design critiques and post project reviews
  • Designing for mobile, tablet and desktop, including responsive websites using mobile first design techniques
  • Open to occasional travel between sites in the UK, and internationally

Skills Need:

  • 7-10+ years industry experience designing user interface experiences for products that exist in the real world
  • Consider how your work relates to the overall service proposition, ensuring the features and components you design are suitable, best in class and scalable
  • Confident considering the project from a high level concept through to the fine details of user interaction components
  • Translate concepts into designs that illustrate simplicity despite system complexity
  • Extensive knowledge in using design and prototyping tools (eg Sketch, Adobe CC, Principle, Zeplin, InVision)
  • Proficient in craft fundamentals (ie layout, visual hierarchy, colour, typography and iconography)
  • Proficient in a variety of methods to convey ideas, and know what format is appropriate to audience (sketches, storyboards, wireframes, mock-ups, animations, interactive prototypes and user flows)
