Job Description

A 2nd Line IT Support Technician is required by a well-established technology company based in Poole. Experience in supporting IT infrastructure solutions such as desktop, applications, server, storage and virtualisation technologies is required.

PLEASE NOTE: This role operates a 24x7 shift pattern, which involves 12 hours per shift, 4 days or nights on and 4 days or nights off (alternating)

Essential Requirements:

  • Relevant and recent experience working in a 2nd line IT support or IT service desk environment
  • Technical skills must include TCP/IP, DNS, AD/Group Policies, Anti-Virus, Networking (routers/switches/WAP's)
  • Accreditations or experience must include Microsoft Server/Desktop Operating Systems, Exchange, RDS, Office 365, VMware/Virtualisation, Citrix, Firewalls, Backup, Telephony.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience or understanding of Storage (SAN/NAS), Powershell Scripting, Azure, IOS, SQL, Linux, Symantec Cloud, Webroot, Appsense, Cisco, CheckPoint, Ruckus, Accountancy or CRM systems

Salary and Benefits:

The basic salary is £25,000 p.a. depending on experience plus £5,000 p.a. shift allowance, plus bonus. Benefits include pension, healthcare, free car parking, childcare voucher scheme and staff discounts.
