A proactive, organised approach to work
A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle with business insurance

We are committed towards becoming an anti-racist organisation, and our recruitment statement is set out below in support of this.
HFL is committed to being an equal opportunities employer. We insist on the equal treatment of all current and prospective colleagues and will never condone discrimination on the basis of age, disability, sex, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race or ethnicity, religion or belief, gender identity, or marriage and civil partnership.
HFL is also equally committed to becoming an anti-racist organisation and we encourage you to view our Anti-racist position statement which gives clarity on our anti-racist stance. In our relentless efforts to be an anti-racist organisation, we recognise the negative impacts of under representation and lack of diversity in our organisation, our education system and in all aspects of our society. Therefore, for recruitment into any HFL post, where we have 2 or more candidates of equal merit, candidates with protected characteristics will be given advantage over candidates without such characteristics. This is sometimes referred to as a ‘tie-breaker’ and is referred to as ‘positive action’ in the Equality Act 2010.
To help us meet our high standards and aspirations of a fully diverse and inclusive workplace, we strongly encourage suitably qualified applicants from all backgrounds to apply and to join us.
Please note that if you are invited to interview, we will expect you to be prepared to discuss unconscious bias with us; we find these conversations more than any others give us all a good idea of what working together will be like.

Outside IR35, Flexible on Location, Immediate Start, Enterprise Architect, Lead Architect, Healthcare, FHIR, AHDS, D365 Our leading digital health client is launching a major new healthcare programme and is seeking a L ead Architect/Enterprise Architect to define the target architecture and conceptual design for a next-generation clinical platform. This initiative involves both greenfield and brownfield elements and requires a domain-driven, clinically aligned architecture capable of supporting complex, multi-system care pathways. This role sits within an active 12-week blueprint phase and needs someone who can immediately take ownership of architectural direction, challenge assumptions, and unify multiple teams around a coherent platform vision. Scope New clinical programme: The organisation is expanding into a more complex area of healthcare delivery that requires a fundamentally different architectural approach. Domain complexity: The new programme involves multi-step clinical workflows, prescribing, scheduling, and operational coordination that cannot be modelled through CRM extensions alone. FHIR-first architecture: The organisation is adopting FHIR and Azure Health Data Services for the first time - they need someone who has implemented this before. High-impact blueprint phase: With 9 weeks remaining, architectural leadership is urgently needed to shape the blueprint deliverables. Future EU expansion: The platform must be modular, compliant, and ready for multi-region deployment. Skills Define the target state architecture and conceptual design for the new healthcare programme. Establish the domain architecture - bounded contexts, service boundaries, API contracts, event flows. Shape the FHIR/AHDS integration strategy, including how clinical data is surfaced to staff via D365. Lead the decision on D365 strategy (extend existing vs. new instance) and define clear boundaries between D365 and domain services. Design integration patterns for external clinical systems (eg, prescribing systems, NHS platforms). Work closely with Digital Health Platform engineering teams to ensure channel consistency across mobile, portal, and staff interfaces. Translate business capability mapping into architectural decisions. Set architectural principles that ensure clinical logic lives in independently deployable, testable services. Support decisions around build vs buy, platform reuse, and third-party integrations. Ensure the architecture is ready for EU expansion, including data residency and localisation. Essential Hands-on FHIR integration experience + AHDS - not just awareness. Domain-driven design expertise applied in real, complex environments. Azure platform architecture experience (AKS, Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, AHDS). Ability to design independently deployable services with clean boundaries. Experience in regulated healthcare or clinical systems. Strong stakeholder influence and the ability to build consensus across diverse teams. Highly Valuable Working knowledge of D365 CE/FinOps - enough to make informed boundary decisions. Experience with multi-region or regulated architectures. Ability to communicate architectural trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. If this is of interest please message me ASAP
