Job Responsibilities You will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing new technologies. Working closely with the legal teams you will be responsible for requirement gathering and identifying opportunities and new technology to improve efficiencies and profitability. This role is central to our goal of first-class business technology support and is particularly important as the firm has recently embarked on a strategic programme to improve working practices across the firm, supported by technology. Analyse existing legal processes, workflows, and systems to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization through technology solutions. Work closely with the Project Manager and technical teams to design and develop IT solutions tailored to the specific requirements of legal practice areas and administrative functions. Support the implementation of new software applications, upgrades, and enhancements, ensuring smooth integration with existing systems and minimal disruption to operations. Develop test plans, conduct user acceptance testing (UAT), and ensure that IT solutions meet functional and performance requirements, as well as regulatory compliance standards. Provide training and support to legal professionals and support staff on the use of IT systems and applications, and develop user guides and documentation as needed. Facilitate change management activities to promote user adoption of new technologies, address resistance to change, and maximize the benefits of IT investments. Evaluate how emerging technologies can benefit the legal practice and make recommendations for their adoption. Ensure that all technology projects adhere to legal industry regulations and data protection laws, particularly in areas of client confidentiality and data security. Skills Required Experience with project management methodologies (eg, Agile, Waterfall). Proficiency in requirements elicitation, process mapping, and solution design methodologies. Stakeholder Management: Ability to effectively communicate with lawyers, legal staff, and IT teams to understand their needs and expectations. Proficiency in creating and maintaining project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and project charters. Knowledge of legal software solutions commonly used in law firms, including document management, case management, and billing software. Knowledge of data security and privacy concerns, especially concerning client confidentiality and legal data. This role offers hybrid working - 2/3 days WFH. Working Pattern - Mon-Fri 9.30-5.30pm.

Field Engineer - Radar, VHF & Microwave. Based in Gravesend, I have a brand-new requirement for a Field Engineer - 35 hour working week. You will be working as part of a small team, focussing on systems and sensors at remote sites such as radar, VHF and microwave. The successful candidate will also be required to form part of an on-call rota which, for every one out of four weeks, includes being a point of contact out of hours and working the weekend to ensure the availability of services 24/7. Days off in the week are provided before and after the on-call period. You must have: Around 3-4 years hands on experience in a similar field role. In depth knowledge and thorough understanding of the design and repair of electronic, analogue & digital telecommunications systems, RADAR, radio and microwave engineering. Sufficient knowledge of IP networking and IT skills to configure and maintain computer-based aspects. Ability to work at heights. Full driving licence. Any ex-military would be ideal! Role involves: Ensure the continuous functionality of all navigation systems sensors including but not limited to radar transceivers, antenna and associated gearboxes, radios, AIS base stations, microwave links, CCTV, warning lights, tide gauges and meteorological sensors to enable the port to operate safely. Diagnose and resolve faults, including complex technical issues, across the full range of sensors in a professional and timely manner. Escalate issues promptly to appropriate colleagues, management team or suppliers as necessary. Ensure actions taken are logged, root causes are investigated and understood, and future requirements are captured. Install, monitor, and maintain equipment relating to the navigation systems sensor estate. Contribute to the development and creation of maintenance and replacement plans for in-field equipment. Infrastructure Engineer. Based in Gravesend, I have a brand-new requirement for an Infrastructure Engineer with 2 days WFH after the initial settling in period has commenced - 35 hour working week. You will be working as part of a small team, focussing on software systems, network & server infrastructure. The successful candidate will also be required to form part of a 4-week on-call rota, which includes working the weekend to ensure the availability of services 24/7. Days off in the week are provided before & after the on-call period. You must have a minimum 5 years hands on experience in a similar role with a full driving licence and knowledge/understanding of some of the following: Server-infrastructure (Hyper-V / HP) Networking infrastructure (Fortigate, NEC, CISCO) Cyber security infrastructure (Dark Trace, Syslog) Telecoms infrastructure Cyber security principles as a minimum Cyber Essentials. Hybrid Hands-on Project/Cutover Manager required to on my client's Finance Migration Project. You must have Cutover in your CV to be considered. My client is NOT looking for a general Project Manager, however if you are a Cutover PM then please apply if you have the skills below. Providing a pro-active service helping staff to resolve queries and providing information to users on the progress of outstanding support calls. Installing and configuring operating systems and software Maintaining the existing PCs and peripherals to agreed standards by performing upgrades and new installations, as well as carrying out routine procedures Reporting hardware faults to third party companies and if necessary returning hardware to third party companies for repair Skills The ideal candidate will have previous 1st/2nd line support experience and experience supporting in-house project teams. You will have previous experience supporting; Active Directory, MS Exchange, Windows Server, Citrix, Windows 7/10 & Office 2016/365. Working experience within a legal or professional services environment would be beneficial and any knowledge of legal applications.
