The Opportunity The role of DBA represents a great opportunity for someone with Oracle database exposure to work within a client with a large Oracle footprint. You would find yourself continually challenged as systems are upgraded and will be expected to get proactive to understand these upgrades and continue to be able to patch and conduct instance cloning on newer versions. Location: This position is based out of the client's Derby office Role and Responsibilities: * Proactively patch, configure and manage Linux, Oracle, FileMaker and SQL Server infrastructure * Data loading and general technical support for the Oracle EBS application, including the operation and maintenance of instance cloning * Ensure the continued alignment of the company's Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery arrangements with the operational context * Monitor backup processes, performing restores, and making and necessary recommendations for improvement The Candidate The ideal candidate will have worked with an Oracle database before and be familiar with SQL. The client is looking for someone who is eager to learn more and can work to understand and effectively utilise updated versions as upgrades take place. You will possess a minimum of 2 years' experience in an IT environment and ideally hold a degree in an IT related discipline.
