A company specialising in articulate robotics design and development are looking for a C++ Software Engineer Contractor for an immediate start on a 3 month contract. The C++ Software Engineer Contractor will be designing and maintaining the software that controls the company`s robots and sensors that would be used across several industries, e.g. defence, aerospace, nuclear. The essential skills required for this role are extensive knowledge of C++ programming, at least 3 years` experience in developing software that makes some sort of mechanisms move and a good academic background with a degree in an engineering, scientific or related subject. Role: 1. Design and develop software to control complex robotic solutions 2. Deliver software system within timescales and quality guidelines 3. Work within existing software infrastructure and processes 4. Work closely with software team 5. Work closely with members of electronics and mechanical teams Key Skills: 1. A brand new role for a Java Developer (with some previous industry experience) has become available due to ongoing success. This Java Developer will join a dynamic and growing company, with an interest in mobile / wearable / IOT payments technology, they are very stable in their future funding and you would join at a pivotal time to them, playing a key role in their new technological advances. The Role As a Java Developer you would support the design and development of our internal systems (back-end and also front-end) in Java and other supporting applications in conjunction with the rest of the development team as well as taking the lead on some internal and external development projects, all based on a CentOS Linux platform. There will be heavy exposure to industry standards and specifications such as GlobalPlatform, MULTOS and EMV as well as third party hardware and software integration in a high security environment. As an experienced developer you would be expected to support junior members of the team to help improve their development skills and working practises within an agile team. Requirements • Java Developers will have a strong development background (perhaps at least a couple of years in industry) • A relevant engineering degree (e.g. Computer Science) • Experience of working with Relational Databases (E.g. MySQL) Location + Benefits They currently have a temporary office in (East London) but later in 2016 are expected to re-locate into a permanent Central London location (TfL Zone 1-3).
