About the role We're undergoing a digital transformation which involves simplifying a heavily customised legacy system and incrementally moving modules to the cloud in the form of SAAS product and web based solution in Azure PAAS, the goal being to deliver engaging, innovative systems for colleagues and residents - and we're looking for a Senior Software Developer to help us on that journey. In this role, you'll act as a technical expert across a mix of in house and partner developers, design scalable digital solutions, and drive our move from legacy systems to modern cloud native solutions. You'll help shape architecture, uphold engineering best practice, support the change lifecycle, and ensure customer needs stay at the heart of everything we deliver. You'll also deputise for the Software Development Manager, mentor junior developers, and work closely with stakeholders to co design user focused solutions that make a real difference. You'll bring; Deep proficiency in at least two software development languages Ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable systems, including cloud-native architectures. Proven experience of developing with SQL databases Experience of modernising legacy monolithic systems Expertise in building secure APIs and integrating third party services Strong experience with Azure Proven ability to guide junior developers and act as a technical SME for project teams. Ability to resolve complex technical challenges and make informed architectural decisions.
