NetBackup Specialist - 650/day via umbrella - 3-Month Contract - London - Hybrid Working - Flexible Contract We are seeking an experienced NetBackup Specialist for a 3-month hybrid contract supporting customer environments across London and Potters Bar. This role is ideal for a NetBackup Specialist with strong hands-on experience designing and rebuilding enterprise backup platforms using the latest Veritas NetBackup software. Your responsibilities as the NetBackup Specialist: Design, build, and configure a new instance of the latest Veritas NetBackup software, aligned to current best practice. Analyse an existing NetBackup environment and mirror critical configurations and policies into the new instance, resolving performance and stability issues. Support the transition from Legacy or unstable backup solutions to the new NetBackup instance with minimal disruption. Configure, validate, and optimise backup to cloud capabilities. Contribute to Proof of Concept (PoC) activities, demonstrating backup, restore, and recovery capabilities to stakeholders. Deliver customer training and knowledge transfer , ensuring operational teams can support the new backup environment. Provide technical input into backup architecture decisions involving HP StoreOnce , including integration and operational considerations. Produce clear and comprehensive technical documentation , including configuration, processes, and handover materials. As a successful NetBackup Specialist, you will have: Proven experience working as a NetBackup Specialist in enterprise environments. Strong hands-on expertise with Veritas NetBackup , including new builds and migrations. Experience improving performance and stability in complex backup environments. Knowledge of cloud backup integration and hybrid backup architectures. Exposure to HP StoreOnce technology and backup appliance integration. Experience supporting PoC activity and delivering technical demonstrations. Strong communication skills with the ability to train and support customer teams. This Network Architect role is a part time engagement with a mix of remote working and on-site visits. Your responsibilities as the Network Architect: Lead and support the migration from Cisco to Aruba Switching, WiFi and ClearPass NAC . Deliver and repeat proven configuration patterns as additional Switches are added to the environment. Work with Aruba Central and HPE GreenLake to manage, monitor and support the network estate. Support ClearPass NAC integration and migration activities. Align technical delivery with the agreed project timeline, adapting to changing weekly demands. This is a key role for a Technical Architect - Disaster Recovery Runbooks who can translate Business Impact Analysis outputs into technically executable recovery solutions within a secure environment. Your responsibilities as the Technical Architect - Disaster Recovery Runbooks: Conduct detailed analysis of Business Impact Analysis (BIA) outputs to understand service criticality, RTO/RPO and recovery sequencing. Engage with stakeholders to understand application architectures, dependencies and failure modes. Define minimum viable recovery (MVR/MVI) states for in-scope services. The role involves on-site surveys, installation readiness assessments, decommissioning of Legacy telephony systems, and installation of new telephony solutions.
