Product Designer Location: Remote-first (1 day per month in Central Manchester) Salary: Up to £65,000 Type: Permanent About the Role We're looking for a mid-to-senior Product Designer who can hit the ground running and make an immediate impact. You'll be joining a small, ambitious product team where collaboration is everything - working hand-in-hand with Software Engineers and Product Managers to design experiences that are as functional as they are beautiful. This role exists to alleviate pressure from our Lead Product Designer, who needs a strong, capable partner to help share the load. You'll need to bring confidence, independence, and the ability to deliver meaningful design contributions from day one. We're a growing tech company building smart, intuitive products that simplify complex problems. Our culture is fast-moving, pragmatic, and collaborative - ideal for someone who thrives in a "get stuff done" environment and isn't afraid to challenge, adapt, and learn on the fly. What You'll Do Collaborate closely with engineers and product managers to identify user needs, define problems, and design clear, accessible, and engaging solutions. Work end-to-end across the design process - from discovery and ideation through to prototyping, testing, and delivery. Translate requirements into wireframes, user flows, mockups, and interactive prototypes using Figma. Partner with developers to ensure accurate and thoughtful implementation of designs. Use both qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions and iterate on user experiences. Advocate for user-centred design principles and accessibility best practices throughout the product life cycle. Contribute to and maintain our design system and visual standards. What We're Looking For Around 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Product Designer, ideally in a small or cross-functional team environment. Proven experience designing digital products with measurable impact. A solid understanding of user-centred design, accessibility, and responsive design principles. Strong proficiency in Figma and familiarity with common prototyping tools. Excellent communication, collaboration, and storytelling skills - you'll often be the bridge between design and engineering. Comfortable working autonomously, owning projects end-to-end, and contributing ideas that move the product forward. Patient, adaptable, and diplomatic - able to build strong relationships with technical teams and navigate ambiguity in a growing business. Experience working in an agile or fast-paced start-up/scale-up environment is a huge plus. Why You'll Love It Here Remote-first role with just one day a month in our Central Manchester office. Salary up to £65,000, depending on experience. 26 days holiday plus flexible bank holidays (increasing with service). Healthcare cash plan and access to a free Virtual GP 24/7. Cycle to Work and Tech Scheme. Access to discounts across travel, fashion, fitness, and more. Learning and development support through Udemy Business. Share option scheme - we want everyone to have a stake in our success. Regular team socials and events. A genuine opportunity to make a visible impact in a fast-growing company. What to Expect This isn't a role for someone looking for a big, established design team - you'll be working directly with our Lead Product Designer, with plenty of space to shape processes, own projects, and influence the future of our design culture. It's an ideal next step for someone who's ready to take more ownership, enjoys solving real user problems, and thrives in a dynamic environment where creativity, pragmatism, and collaboration go hand in hand. InterQuest Group is acting as an employment agency for this vacancy. InterQuest Group is an equal opportunities employer and we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of age, disability, gender, religion/belief, race, marriage, civil partnership, pregnancy, maternity, sex or sexual orientation. Please make us aware if you require any reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process.
