Staff Platform Engineer, UK
P2P
We're looking for a curious, rigorous, problem-hungry platform engineer (who codes!) to carry the ball as we bring Ashby to the big leagues. Ashby builds software that lets talent teams build an efficient, delightful, respectful hiring process. Similarly, you're an engineer who wants to build a "paved road" that excellent engineering teams can safely take to the moon and back. We have notable customers like Notion, Linear, Shopify, and Snowflake. Our growth and retention metrics are best-in-class among our peers: we have tens of millions in ARR, growing >100% year over year, over 2500 customers, very low churn, and many years of runway. We'll share more details once we meet, but you now probably have a good idea as to why we're hiring for this role . We've listed this role twice: as a Platform Engineer and Site Reliability Engineer - our team does both, and we are open to candidates who lean towards one or the other. About The Role And How We Work Hi I'm Colin, Head of EMEA Engineering. I've spent a number of years leading engineering teams in startups, and that has always included being close to infrastructure teams - no matter what name they've worn (SRE, infrastructure, platform, etc). I've got my hands dirty building the initial infrastructure for startups and know the value a talented infrastructure engineer brings. The rigour, the discipline, the peace and quiet when everything just hums along. Our infrastructure is in a good place for now. Nothing is static. Ashby continues to grow rapidly, putting strain on our existing infrastructure. We're always looking to give our customers more powerful hiring software, and building new product features often requires new pieces of infrastructure. Having herded plenty of snowflake servers in the past, I've learned there's a better way. I (and Ashby) place a lot of value on infrastructure as code. As a Platform Engineer at Ashby, you'll get to dive into scaling problems, add new capabilities to our platform, and think about how our entire team interacts with infrastructure. All our own engineers own their projects end to end and ship with minimal oversight. We don't put roadblocks to ensure security when common sense will do and we don't build processes like change management boards around the lowest common denominator. But with great power comes great responsibility: we handle personal and confidential data about some of the biggest decisions we ever make at work. As we grow, more and bigger customers rely on us to be reliable and secure and how we operate internally will need to evolve. We're at an inflection point where our ability to scale and deliver a seamless experience has a make or break impact - we have some of the fastest growing companies using our platform every day to hire hundreds of people per month. We need someone like you to make good decisions, debug thorny issues, and build us a future proof platform that can withstand this scale. Our small but mighty infrastructure team has set up a secure and simple environment (we don't believe in spinning up a new service unless necessary!) for our growing product team to build in. That's where you come in: you, too, will own projects end to end and have an impact on core parts of the Ashby developer and user experience. For instance, you could work on: Optimize our homegrown ultra dynamic recruiting DSL to SQL compiler, and create tools to help developers do so Create automated guardrails for the security and privacy of our customer data Help our developers ship features fast through canary deploys, gradual rollouts and feature flags, while keeping complexity manageable and reducing downtime Work with the business and the engineering team to define SLOs and implement the corresponding SLIs. Ensure all communication with external services supports retries and circuit breakers. Implement the infrastructure to support an event driven architecture and data warehouse. We're looking for someone who can build systems that an engineer would like to work with: mature and boring but open minded and approachable. We have to balance reliability with flexibility. Software and its availability are now mission critical to almost every working professional. To be an SRE in today's world, you have to be extremely comfortable evaluating risk, those you take and those others take. You Should Apply If You never stop. You get weirdly obsessed about a problem that doesn't yet make sense, turn it every which way in your head until the explanation dawns. You'll search every rock, inventory every clue, hunt every mismatch. We do that, too - together we'll be armed with state of the art monitoring tools and an impressive amount of data, and join you in the adventure. You don't take shortcuts. You're speaking up for the future user, the edge case, the doomsday design. You know product engineers want to build it with you, and see them as allies, where you give them the power and knowledge to access greater things. You're someone who cares about what you do and the team you do it with, and want to work with others who do as well. You'll be on interview panels choosing your next colleagues, and you'll take that seriously. You only want to work with people who make you better, and want to make you better. You've built infrastructure at a slightly later stage than Ashby is at - you know how to deal with millions of data points, have seen great (or not great) infrastructure make or break customer experience, and have automated everything from provisioning to monitoring and release process. You're a Swiss army knife (all nationalities welcome ; . You'll get every hard problem the company faces. You'll get to do infrastructure updates, security enforcements, database optimization, Kubernetes debugging, and digging through Typescript traces figuring out what doesn't work. You probably don't feel like an expert at at least some of that and that appeals to you. Role All that makes for a pretty specific kind of role, and the job isn't to everyone's tastes! You should not apply if: You don't want to make your own decisions on what is the best paved road to build for Ashby, and expect a lead or manager to make the final call on what that is. Our leads (and managers) give ample commentary and feedback on technical decisions and how they're made, but you ship what you want to build and are accountable for it. You hate SQL. We have a lot of features built around making the best out of data, and our platform engineers also sometimes dive into a gnarly report or advise engineers on a more performant data model to use. You don't want to code. Our SREs are some of our best software engineers and they are just as responsible for the application as the other engineering teams - albeit at a platform level. Reviewing code and submitting code changes will be part of your day to day. Your primary mode of communicating best practices to engineers is live meetings. We're a very async culture and written communication (and code) is how changes get made. As an Ashby SRE, you will need to share new tooling and best practices with engineers faster than your next meeting opportunity will take you. You've never delivered a project, on your own, without someone prodding you for updates. We have no project or delivery managers to fill your calendar with busy work, but the flip side is you have to do your project management, seek the help you need to get unstuck and cut scope when it's worthwhile. Technology Stack TypeScript (frontend & backend), Node.js, React, Apollo GraphQL, Postgres, Redis. We use Datadog and Sentry on 100% cloud based (AWS) infra. We take developer experience and reliability seriously: all engineers are on call in a follow the sun model, and everyone contributes to developer tooling. Interview Process We'll dive into past projects and simulate working together via pair programming, writing product and tech specs collaboratively, and talking through decisions. There are no leetcode or whiteboard exercises. Introduction call with Hiring Manager (15 to 30m, live) A technical screen where we pair in our actual codebase (1h, live) Three non coding interviews that focus on technical design, debugging incidents, and infrastructure (3h 15m, live can be split across multiple days) Depending on our leadership team's bandwidth, we may start with an additional 30m screen with a recruiter. Benefits Competitive salary and equity. 10 year exercise window for stock options. You shouldn't feel pressure to purchase stock options if you leave Ashby - do it when you feel financially comfortable. Unlimited PTO, and we will encourage you to take it. A minimum of 12 weeks of fully paid parental leave, covered by Ashby. For folks outside the US, it may be longer to be in line with regional requirements. Generous equipment, software, and office furniture budget. Get what you need to be happy and productive! $100/month education budget with more expensive items (like conferences) covered with manager approval. If you're in the US, we offer top tier health insurance for you and your dependents, with 100% of premiums covered by Ashby. In other countries, we provide high quality supplemental health insurance for you and your dependents, also fully covered by us. Ashby's success hinges on hiring great people and creating an environment where we can be happy, feel challenged, and do our best work. We're being deliberate about building that environment from the ground up. We hope that excites you enough to apply. . click apply for full job details

Product Manager II
Certinia-UK-Limited
Product Manager II - AI Location: UK or Granda The deadline for internal applications is Friday, June 19th. ABOUT CERTINIA Certinia delivers a Services-as-a-Business platform that powers and connects all aspects of services operations, from services estimation and delivery to customer success management and financial planning and accounting. The company's Professional Services Automation (PSA), Customer Success (CS), and Financial Management (FM) solutions-delivered on Salesforce's leading cloud platform-provide the ability to run a connected services business, deliver with intelligence, and achieve business agility. Headquartered in Austin, Texas with presence around the world, Certinia is backed by Haveli Investments, TA Associates, General Atlantic and Salesforce Ventures. For more information, visit . THE ROLE Product management is changing faster than at any point in the last decade. The administrative grind-writing first drafts, synthesising research, chasing status, grooming backlogs- is increasingly handled by AI. That frees time for the work that actually moves products forward: sharper strategy, deeper customer understanding, better problem framing, and faster experimentation. This is an AI first PM role. You'll work with AI tools every day-not as a novelty, but as a core part of how you think, discover, and ship. You'll be expected to direct AI output, not just consume it: synthesising hundreds of data points, testing ideas in hours rather than weeks, and making the editorial judgements that turn raw intelligence into product decisions. The role will evolve. As Certinia's use of AI-both to build our products and within our products-deepens, so will this role into new territory like AI feature design, probabilistic thinking, and responsible AI oversight. We're not asking you to arrive knowing all of that. We are asking you to want to build it. WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE Engage with customers: Deep customer understanding is one of the few things AI cannot substitute. You will spend meaningful time with customers-listening, challenging, and building the empathy that tells you which problems are worth solving. AI accelerates the synthesis work around it: use AI tools to surface patterns across interviews, support tickets, usage data, and feedback at a scale that wasn't previously practical. Your job is to direct and editorialise those outputs-to decide what they mean and what to do about them. AI brings the signal; you bring the judgement. Drive strategy: Own the strategy for your part of the product, aligned to key customer personas. Use AI to rapidly synthesise market intelligence, competitive signals, and internal stakeholder input-so your energy goes into the strategic judgement calls, not the information gathering that precedes them. Influence overall product strategy by connecting your customer level insights to the bigger picture. Collaborate with leadership on investment priorities. Work with engineering and design partners to define shared OKRs that connect strategy to delivery. Discovery & Delivery: Discovery is the highest leverage work a PM does-and AI changes what's possible here. Develop a rich understanding of customer needs through interviews, data, and market research, all synthesised and structured using AI. Your role is to interrogate, challenge, and act on those outputs-not just produce them. Leverage our AIDLC with engineering leads to prototype and test potential solutions at pace. AI enables more experiment cycles with tighter feedback loops-you use that advantage deliberately. Iterate toward the best solution, not just the first viable one. Own delivery from discovery to ship. Work with your team to deliver the highest value solution, drawing on peers and discipline leads across Product Management, design, and engineering. Go To Market: Shape how customers adopt and succeed with the capabilities you helped build. Work directly with key customers through go live and beyond. Enable sales, services, and support to make customers successful. Use AI to accelerate preparation of release content, training materials, and customer facing collateral-then focus your energy on quality, positioning, and the conversations that matter. Present new functionality at webinars, our conference, and with individual customers and partners. WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE Extensive and demonstrable experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner. A proven understanding of modern Product Management practices: Opportunity Canvases, User Story Maps, Objectives and Key Results, Lean UX, rapid prototyping and storyboarding. An AI first way of working. You use AI tools as a daily habit- for synthesis, problem framing, drafting, and prototyping. You know how to craft and refine prompts to get useful outputs, and you critically evaluate what AI produces. You understand that AI raises the bar on the strategic thinking you need to bring; it doesn't lower it. Hands on fluency with AI augmented delivery workflows. Comfortable directing and editing AI output, not just consuming it. Experience with an AIDLC, or the ability to work within it quickly. A bias toward strategy and problem framing. You thrive when the question isn't fully formed yet. You can hold ambiguity without rushing to solutions, and you know the difference between finding the right answer and finding the right question. Experience working on enterprise software products and a working knowledge of the constraints and opportunities that this implies. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to both listen and lead. Product design, analytical and problem solving skills. Experience working in an Agile environment. Strong attention to detail. A global mindset-we are a global company with global customers. A hunger to learn. This role is changing, and so is the craft. The people who thrive here will be the ones who want to stay at the front of it. WHAT ELSE WOULD BE GREAT Knowledge of the platform, Apex, Visualforce and Lightning Frameworks are a strong plus. An understanding of Professional Services organisations and the personas we serve. Knowledge of the "business of services" from Sales to Service Delivery to Finance across the customer lifecycle at an enterprise level. Previous experience working on ERP/PSA, CRM, CPQ solutions and/or cloud platforms is highly desirable. Experience navigating the strengths and limitations of a platform architecture. Early experience with the next generation of PM work: AI product sense-knowing which problems are well suited to AI, how to frame learning objectives, and how to set and communicate confidence and accuracy expectations with stakeholders. An awareness of responsible AI principles-bias, fairness, and explainability-and the ability to bring these into product decisions constructively. These are emerging expectations, not hard requirements today, but they're where this role is heading.

These are emerging expectations, not hard requirements today, but they're where this role is heading.

Role Summary Oxford Dynamics seeks a Senior Technical Project Manager to own end to end delivery of AI driven software programmes, coordinating multi team execution from scope and planning through production launch with clear SLAs, budgets, and timelines. The role bridges cutting edge AI research and practical deployment, ensuring agentic/LLM features ship safely, on time, and to quality in regulated environments where security and compliance matter. Key Responsibilities Lead multi project roadmaps managing scope, budgets, risks, RAID, milestones, and change control to deliver on time and within cost. Run Agile ceremonies (Scrum/Kanban), track burn up/burn down, and drive decisions with clear acceptance criteria and measurable outcomes for each increment. Produce crisp client and leadership reporting, acting as the single point of contact to unblock issues across internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders. Orchestrate delivery of AI features spanning LLMs, RAG, and multi agent workflows from ingestion to inference, including offline/edge constraints where required. Partner with Tech Leads to make trade offs in design and architecture, aligning research prototypes with production requirements and service levels. Coordinate release readiness across testing, evaluation, and go live plans. Align engineering and DevOps on environments, observability, and incident response, ensuring deployments are auditable, cost aware, and reversible. Oversee vendor and subcontractor deliverables, ensuring integrations meet contractual, performance, and compliance requirements. Own risk mitigation for compliance and security constraints typical of regulated sectors, escalating early with clear options and impacts. Translate product goals into executable backlogs and milestones, sequencing dependencies across AI, frontend, backend, and platform teams. Review GitHub PRs alongside Tech Leads to validate scope, surface trade offs, and maintain momentum without compromising quality. Represent Oxford Dynamics with customers and partners, including contributions to bids and programme inputs where needed. Drive adherence to security and quality management processes appropriate to regulated domains such as defence, aerospace, healthcare, and finance. Ensure projects maintain audit evidence for decisions, testing, and releases, with recovery plans and responsibilities defined prior to go live. Qualifications 5+ years managing software and AI programmes with multiple stakeholders, delivering production releases in fast moving environments. Proven delivery across teams using React and Python stacks (e.g., Django, FastAPI, Flask) or equivalent modern frameworks. Hands on experience coordinating projects that integrate LLMs, RAG, and related AI components into shipped products. Strong scope, requirements, and budget control; confident discussing technical trade offs and reviewing PRs with engineers. Experience in regulated environments with security and compliance responsibilities across the delivery lifecycle. SC clearance or eligibility for UK national security vetting as required by programmes. Preferred / Bonus Portfolio of shipped AI/robotics/software projects with measurable outcomes and references to regulated work where applicable. Knowledge of data security and accreditation processes; experience with offline/edge solutions or constrained deployments. Comfort presenting to senior stakeholders and contributing to business development activities and bids. Soft Skills High agency ownership from concept to launch, with a bias to clarity, iteration, and decision making under uncertainty. Excellent communication across technical and non technical audiences, enabling fast, safe progress across disciplines. Calm, structured problem solving during incidents and changing constraints, with clear follow through on actions and learning. Benefits Salary: negotiable based on experience and attitudes. Rapid career progression with meaningful ownership of core systems. Opportunity to shape the future of a fast growing, successful, early stage business. Flexible working hours. Hybrid working model. Experience building and maintaining delivery roadmaps in agile/sprint-based delivery environments. Strong QA discipline & release sign-off processes. Familiarity with email deliverability principles: IP warming, sender reputation management, bounce and suppression handling. Communication & Stakeholder Management Exceptional verbal and written communication skills - able to operate confidently at C-suite/Director level. Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language for non-technical audiences. Experience presenting to and influencing senior client stakeholders in a consulting or agency environment. Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple stakeholder groups while maintaining delivery momentum. Desirable Qualifications & Certifications Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist certification (basic). Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant certification (preferred). Additional Salesforce certifications (eg Marketing Cloud Developer, Pardot) are advantageous. Familiarity with GDPR, PECR, and email compliance obligations in a regulated industry context. Success Profile The ideal candidate is a confident, commercially aware SFMC specialist who thrives in client-facing environments. They bring equal measures of technical credibility and strategic thinking - able to roll up their sleeves to build a journey in SFMC in the morning and present a roadmap recommendation to a client director in the afternoon. They are proactive communicators who don't wait to be asked - they surface risks early, bring solutions not just problems, and build genuine trust with client stakeholders. They see their role not just as a deployment resource, but as a strategic partner helping the client mature their use of SFMC over time. Key Responsibilities 1. Customer Journey Build & Expansion Design, build, and deploy multi-step customer journeys in SFMC Journey Builder. Translate client business requirements into scalable, reusable journeys that can be deployed across multiple customer segments. Configure and maintain journey entry sources including Data Extensions, Salesforce CRM entry events. Proactively identify opportunities to build net-new journeys that address gaps in the current customer life cycle coverage. 2. Personalisation & Dynamic Content Strategy Develop and implement advanced personalisation strategies using AMPscript, dynamic content rules, and preference-driven segmentation within SFMC. Leverage data from Salesforce CRM, external data extensions, and Marketing Cloud Connect to create hyper-relevant, 1:1 customer communication. Collaborate with the client's data and analytics teams to identify propensity signals that can power journey personalisation. Ensure personalisation strategies are aligned with compliance requirements (GDPR/PECR) and consent management frameworks. 3. Execution & Strategy Roadmap Work directly with client stakeholders to define execution roadmap for SFMC campaign delivery and capability development. Bridge the gap between strategic marketing ambitions and technical delivery realities - translating vision into actionable sprint-level deliverables. Present roadmap progress, risks, and recommendations to senior client stakeholders in regular governance forums and executive briefings. Proactively manage dependencies across campaign operations, data engineering, and CRM teams to ensure unblocked delivery. Champion SFMC platform best practices across email design, data management, journey architecture, deliverability, and compliance. Conduct regular health-checks of the SFMC instance and produce actionable recommendations covering data extension governance, contact model hygiene, and suppression management. Define and document campaign deployment standards, naming conventions, and QA checklists to be adopted across the engagement team. Guide the client on emerging SFMC features, upcoming platform roadmap changes, and their strategic relevance to the programme. Act as a centre-of-excellence resource - upskilling client-side marketing operations staff through knowledge transfer, documentation, and hands-on coaching. 5. Client Stakeholder Engagement Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for client marketing operations, digital, and technology stakeholders. Produce clear, concise status reports, delivery plans, and strategic briefing documents tailored to different audience levels. Build trusted, long-term relationships with client stakeholders - positioning Cognizant as a strategic partner, not just a delivery vendor. Manage and communicate scope, timelines, and change requests proactively to avoid delivery risk and stakeholder misalignment.
