Boxtree recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Java Software Developer to support our client an established and dynamic internet marketing organisation The Java Developer will play an important part within a friendly and dynamic team in a business that prides itself in developing leading solutions using the very latest technology. The Java Software Developer tasks will be varied and will contribute to both new feature development and modules within business platforms as well as bug fixing and smaller enhancements to existing functionality, by developing platform APIs in Java Responsibilities * Design technical solutions to functional requirements that scale effectively and efficiently across massive and complex data sets * Translate functional requirements and technical designs into API code, implementing the layer between the data persistence layer and consumer and merchant facing web applications * Writing unit tests * Writing technical documentation, both as inline code comments and as knowledge sharing documents for use by peers * Work on break/fix tasks that have been escalated from our Customer Support and Technical Support teams Requirements * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar technical discipline * At least two years of commercial experience in Java software development * Development of APIs of RESTful APIs * Working with databases, both relational/SQL and No-SQL * Development using industry standard best practices, such as OWASP * Goal focused with commitment to meet targets Benefits * Private Healthcare * Healthcare cash plan * Cycle to work scheme * Childcare vouchers * 25 days holiday * Onsite exercise classes * Eyecare vouchers * Pension scheme * Death in service Please note that we expect a high response to this position if you have not had a response within the next 3 days please assume that on this occasion you have been unsuccessful.
