Senior Systems Engineer

A Senior Systems Engineer with strong experience of monitoring and storage is required to join a global technology company working on the cutting edge of data analytics. Role: Senior Systems Engineer As Senior Systems Engineer you will be responsible for: + Delivering and maintaining a standard set of tools, and interfaces used globally across the Technology Infrastructure and Operations teams + Providing high quality consumable tooling that can be used to optimise the performance of our applications, products and services across a broad portfolio of technologies + Using initiative to tackle a broad range of problems with a specialisation in monitoring and tooling technologies Experience: As Senior Systems Engineer you will have experience of: + Degree qualified or equivalent in Computer Science or other relevant discipline + Significant experience in a technical support, ideally hosting in the Cloud, and on premise, or similar role supporting Enterprise tools + Strong analytical skills and able to collate and interpret data from various sources + Extensive knowledge of scripting technologies required to build tooling integration's + Strong knowledge of Infrastructure services (Cloud and on premise) + Strong understanding of Operating systems (either Linux, or Wintel) + Understanding of networking technologies + Previous experience of configuring monitoring tools and technologies + Knowledge of Storage and backup technologies + Knowledge of monitoring tools such as New Relic, SCCM, Tanium + Knowledge of one or more scripting languages (Python, Ruby, Bash, PowerShell, etc.)
