Embedded Software Engineer

A Consultancy is offering a talented Embedded Software Engineer the chance to work on a range of exciting projects from advanced robotic systems and smart city technology to underwater or aircraft based sensor and communication systems. The ideal applicant will bring a solid academic background, the ability work closely with customers and will be a good team player with excellent communication skills. Technical Competencies should include: * In-depth knowledge of embedded systems. * Developing real time software in C. * Debugging and optimising embedded code. * Familiarity with software – hardware interfacing. * Appreciation of Python, C++, C#, Objective C, Java, Bash. * Application development for embedded Linux or Android platforms. * Exposure to wireless technologies and Communication protocols. In order to fully support the latest client developments, the successful Embedded Software Engineer must have strong all-round software development skills with the emphasis on embedded systems and applications. The role will cover development of software for a range of embedded platforms from bare metal microcontrollers to RTOS and embedded Linux systems. Due to some of the projects undertaken, you must be either a British passport holder or an EU citizen who has been resident in the UK for several years.
