Robert Walters is engaged with a global managed services provider. They are a multi-million turnover business, which specialises in niche technologies across wireless, broadband and advanced networks. In addition, they lead global support for data centre, infrastructure and managed services provider.
As part of acquisitions and winning global projects they are looking to appoint an experienced Network Consultant for 12 month rolling contract paying up to £500 to £600 per day to be based in London and required to travel. You will lead Architecture, Consultancy, Design, Implementation and Consultancy.
You will work with major Juniper Network Service Provider customers to ensure the smooth design, planning, migration and integration of Juniper Networks Products to new and existing network. In addition, you will provide high quality network design, service design, planning, engineering and implementation consulting services to the client.
Network Consultant: Technical Requirements
IP-Related protocols – IS-IS, OSPF, BGP, RSVP, LDP, QOS
IPv6 Standards/Protocols
Strong JUNOS skills and hands on experience
MX Series, PTX Series, EX Series, E Series and MX BNG
TCP/IP, MPLS, Traffic Engineering, IGP, BGP, Internet Peering/Exchanges
Metro Ethernet, Broadband, Seamless MPLS, QoS, IP Services
Leadership of PTX, MX, E, vMX, Northstar SDN Controller and ACX-series equipment
Core, Edge, Access & Aggregation and NFV
Telecommunication or Enterprise background
Certified in either JNCIE / JNCIS / JNCIA / CCIE
Network Consultant: Duties
Develop and maintain expertise on network architecture and solutions
Identify and gather client requirements
Provide Network Architecture
Develop High- and Low-level network designs
Design validation and verification testing
Network implementation and testing
Technical lead for major network deployments and migrations
Evaluate client networks for performance, scalability and security
Formulate network strategy
The opportunity for a Network Consultant JNCIE / JNCIS / JNCIA / CCIE will be a 12 months contract, based in London paying a rate of £500 to £600 per day.
