System Design Authority

The Systems Design Authority will be responsible for engaging in at the preparation for the PDR stage of the project and will be a key member of the design process as the design progresses. The Systems Design Authority (SDA) will be expected to oversee the integrity of engineered and documented designs. Owning the assigned design baselines is an essential to this role as they would be expected represent the engineering disciplines during the high pressure project environment. Therefore meaning the SDA would have to ensure that all designs are adequate and meet the relevant customer requirement. Occasional travel to client sites may be needed. The relevant skills and experiences for the Systems Design Authority include: * Experience within VOIP, IP and MPLS systems. * Satellite communications systems experience. * IP Architectures of Cisco/ Juniper based Networks. * Security/ Cryptographic equipment. * Network Management Methodologies. This role will suit someone who is looking to expand their SDA experience levels and work within a corporate based organisation within the Defence sector. This role is looking to start ASAP and is paying in the region of £75,000- £80,000 a year.
