Network Engineer - Automation / Scripting SC Required Rate: £350 - £400 Basingstoke Develop the Network Tooling on the GC LAN Tech Refresh Project to assist carrying out the required automation of the Network switch configuration. Develop the tooling for online and offline use to enable the automation of Pre Staging of the switches to allow for speedily pre built machines to be dispatched to site. Due to the volume required to meet the deadline, this will enable the auto creation switch configuration which meets the site specific standards set out by the Network designer. Mandatory Skills Required: * SC cleared. * DII access. * Extensive experience in network design and implementation. * Knowledge of MOD estates, infrastructure and engineering processes. * In-depth knowledge of network tooling and automation techniques. * Ability to use a variety of toolsets to script and deploy network device configurations. * VB and Access coding Desirable Skills Required: * Experience in scripting (Perl, VB, Python, HTML/CGI). * Experience in Linux and Windows Administration * Experience of working with the DII/GC LAN * Appreciation of the L2/L3 setup used to deliver the network * Understand the Cisco and Juniper configuration
