Apply now!” The Role * Design, develop and unit test software for a wide range of systems and varied technologies including PHP and .Net languages ensuring functional requirements are met. * Work with customers and suppliers of 3rd party systems where a development needs to integrate with these systems. * Apply data analysis and logical design techniques to requirements and existing data flows to fully understand requirements and design a suitable technical solution. * Design and develop efficient, normalised databases taking into consideration functional and performance requirements. * Ensure applications provide a good user experience, user journey and meet W3C 2-star accessibility standards. * Consider stability, security, confidentiality and defence against malware in all design and coding decisions. * Ensure thorough testing of the application and work on researching and resolving incidents quickly. * Work with other team members to share knowledge, resolve design and coding issues and assist testers with enquiries about system functionality and defects. * Proactively monitor service tickets and resolve issues within the posts areas of responsibility. Proactively contact users to ensure that they are updated on issue resolution and advise on any appropriate work-around processes. The Candidate * Software development using, but not limited to: PHP, MariaDB or similar, SQL Server 2014, Microsoft .Net development technologies including C#.Net, .Net core, web services, MVC/RAZOR, Bootstrap, ASP.NET, IIS, and Visual Studio 2017. * Have designed and developed applications and software services using modern design techniques and technologies * Proficient in designing reports and other data extracts to meet business intelligence and reporting needs. * Form productive and supportive relationships with colleagues and customers.
