Customer Solutions Architect

About the role Due to business growth we have a vacancy for a Customer Solution Architect, who will be responsible for providing technical solutions to new and existing customers based on the company's product suite. You will be responsible for actively driving and managing the customer requirements gathering and high level design process, as well as working with customers to describe the company's technology and capabilities positioning to both business and technical users. Using business process and analysis skills you will build a set of requirements in consultation with the customer and then, working with development teams, you will produce a high level design. Documentation will be to a high standard, as will your communication skills. Being able to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience is a key aspect of the role, together with an understanding of business needs and pressures in a commercial setting. Software development activities are also key to this role. You will be working on a variety of projects, implementing customer solutions using the latest development tools, targeting leading-edge mobile technologies. What you will do: * Determine technical and business requirements from clients and provide technical solutions in a professional manner and to agreed timeframes * Create internal design documentation describing technical solutions * Perform software development for customer solutions as part of a design and development frame work * Interface with the implementation/project team, articulating customer requirement, to ensure smooth transition from Requirements to Delivery * Consulting and educating the customer on delivered solution * Be able to take the lead in project activities, working with groups of developers * Feedback on issues with current products and provide input around new products Your experience will include: Desired skills & Experience: * 5+ years of commercial software development experience * Demonstrated experience .NET 4.5, C# In addition, the following would be an advantage: * Experience with GIS and spatial databases * Xamarin * WPF * LINQ * Degree in software engineering, computer science or related subject What's in it for you?
