IT/Computer Science Graduate

We specialise in website and mobile App Development. This is a Graduate Computer Science/IT Graduate role based in Wales. You would be required to undertake the following tasks: This is a general PHP developer role, where you will develop software on various projects both directly for the business and on behalf of our clients. You will be working on new and existing features using plain PHP and the Symfony framework. Main tasks will include: * Gathering software requirements from your line manager and/or end client * Producing technical specifications where required * Developing software in PHP/Mysql/Javascript/HTML/CSS and other technologies * Software testing * Maintaining software and fixing bugs The successful candidate will be degree qualified in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering and have the following skills: * Symfony 2 (including Doctrine and Twig) - very beneficial! * Educated to degree level in Computer Science or equivalent * PHP, MySQL, HTML, Javascript and CSS * Object Orientated Programming (OOP) experience, particularly in PHP * jQuery * Version control: GIT * Understanding software problems and conceiving and implementing great solutions * Ability to quickly determine the root cause of bugs and squash them * Able to work as part of a team with other developers * This is a client facing role so you must be comfortable discussing software concepts with others, regardless of their level of technical understanding The Graduate Role: You will start on a 20 week probationary period paid at £7.50 per hour. On successful completion of your probation, there is a permanent graduate position available with a starting salary circa £18-£25K.
