Lead Software Engineer & Architect

We are recruiting for a Lead Software Engineer and Architect to join a team based in Cambridge. You will architect software for complex systems. This may involve leading a team of software engineers as part of a multidisciplinary project team. You may also participate in meetings with clients and potential clients from time to time and a small amount of travel may be involved. Main Responsibilities: * Design and development of large software systems * Design of system interfaces * Delivery of high-quality code, compliant with the client's requirements * Project delivery on time and on budget Qualifications, Experience and Skills: * With an appropriate background in software, you will have a good degree in a relevant subject, such as computer science or electronic engineering. * Experience in communications software * Understanding of both hardware and software * Understanding of wireless communications systems * Understanding of build systems and source control * One or more scripting languages * Some understanding of Internet technologies
