C / C++ Software Engineers : World class Defence Organisation based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire is currently looking to recruit 2x C / C++ Software Engineers. Please Note: you must be eligible for SC (Secret Level) Security Clearance. The contract is initially for 6 months (ongoing after). The hourly rate is £55.50 per hour C / C++ Software Engineers - Job Description: A Software Engineer capable of design & development of embedded and test code for software based defence applications. The role will involve software integration testing. The candidate must have a current SC security clearance on starting. A Software Engineer capable of design and development of embedded and test code for software based Defence applications. The role will involve integration testing with the equipment containing the software under test and suitable skills in this area will be expected. The development languages will be mainly C/C++. The specification of the design of the embedded code uses UML and familiarity with this approach would be desirable. Knowledge of Matlab, Simulink and Rhapsody would be useful. Knowledge of DOORS and the Rational Team Concert configuration management system would be useful. Experience of working in High Dependability systems would be beneficial. Depending on actual role there may be a need to work nationally or internationally with other sites.
