Senior Software Engineer

My client is an innovative product development company working on cutting edge technology within the military and medical device markets. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Senior Software Engineer to join the team and work on developing next generation product features and upgrades. The companies products have clearly defined roadmaps and it will be your responsibility to lead and achieve the deliverables to time, cost and quality. This will be a non coding based role so you must be comfortable in the knowledge that you won't be coding yourself, and will suit someone who has commercial experience of product development and is able to lead the design and development aspects (requirements gathering, developing concepts etc), and then taking the code produced by the subcontractors and seeing the rest of the project through the necessary testing, validation and documentation, to release. It is essential you have an Embedded Software background along with C++ or C#, GUI experience and Windows CE. Any experience with wireless, Wi-Fi, GPRS, Bluetooth, or VOIP technologies/products would be advantageous, along with TCP, UDP, TLS, and SSL protocols. As the technology is for medical and defence markets it will also be of great benefit if you have worked to 13485 or 9001. The most important aspect is that you have developed full products and will understand the overall system.
