Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity for Project Managers and Senior Project Managers for an established organisation who operate within Northern Europe. They originally started out as a component manufacturer and have historically sold these products to integration companies. Over the last six years, the organisation have brought the system integration side of the business into their business strategy internationally and now the UK office has responsibility for projects that solely operate out of Europe, with a staff headcount of 135 people and turnover of approximately £60 Million per year. They are now in a strategic position where they are looking to bring their control system design in house and provide a complete solution to their customers and have started an exciting journey over the last few months to build a controls team covering Software Engineers, Electrical Engineers, System Integration Engineers, Project Managers and Commissioning Engineers. The responsibility of the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager will be to manage projects from quotation to handover across four main phases of design, manufacturing, electrical and mechanical installation and Commissioning on site. You would be responsible for managing multi- disciplinatry teams and running the budget.There will be a degree of travel expected for the role which will vary from site visits to suppliers, progress meetings and site based visits in Europe during the installation and commissioning stages. This is an integral part of the company's success as the work they do is all project based so the impact you have with determine the success of the project. Experience with conveyor system based industries would be preferred but all industries and level of experience will be considered. Ideally you will have come from a controls background and either are looking to develop your project management career or have an proven project management background.
