Job Title: Senior Systems Test Engineer

Salary: £35k - £45k DOE
My client, a leading manufacturer of simulation and training devices for the aerospace and defence industry are currently recruiting a Senior Systems Test Engineer to join their rapidly growing organisation.
Within this role, you will act as lead Systems Test Engineer for the JSF Programme on behalf of the Integrated Product Team. You will be accountable for the complete Systems operation and testing on the ESMT and WLT. This will cover the development, design, proving and maintenance of all commissioning documentation, installation guides, test scripts, Acceptance Test Procedures and user manuals.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Check and authorise System Specifications, Commissioning Documents and Test Procedures.
* Ensure compliance with Engineering National and International standards.
* Support the development of the Systems Test capability.
* Manage resources and design programs to deliver tested components/ systems and devices on time and within budget that meets customer requirements.
* Implement and maintain detailed System test procedures and test standards.
* Manage & maintain proprietary Systems data within the company computer systems.
* Instigate, Authorise & approve Systems calculations.
* Coordinate and manage reviews leading up to Test Readiness Review, Factory Acceptance Test and Site Acceptance Test milestones.
* Be responsible for the sign off and acceptance of Test documentation and procedures with internal and external stakeholders/ customers.
* Attend Project and progress reviews to identify pertinent issues and required actions.
* Liaise and interface with LM customers in the development of Systems test requirements.
* Attend meetings and reviews as required with the scope of the project, travel to LM customer locations and Air Force Bases.
* Work jointly with LM to redefine Acceptance Test Script criteria and appropriate techniques to deploy.
* Be accountable for the design and configuration management of ESMT/ WLT test benches.
* To understand and effectively use LM provided software.
* Be accountable for the configuration control of Software release across the Project, working closely with Software Engineers.
* Provide diagnostic approach to test issues, and provide a suitable bug fix solution.
* Deliver technical expertise and knowledge within the business as part of the role.
* Research, develop & innovate new concepts and designs, supporting new business strategies.
* Introduce new products, materials and processes into Systems Testing, where beneficial.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience and expertise as a Systems Engineer within the aerospace or simulation industry.
