The responsibilities of the role are: * Working with the customer to elicit customer requirements (DOORS) and understand their needs in order to propose innovative solutions. * Capture and develop customer requirements into systems requirements. * Design of systems for the military and aerospace industries following a systems engineering approach. * Technically lead co-ordinate and motivate a multi-discipline project team to develop and deliver systems/products on time and on budget working closely with the Project Manager. * Produce systems design solutions to satisfy the customers requirements. * Systems development following processes and procedures to industry and defence standards for development and configuration management. * Produce system/product verification plans and procedures to allow detailed integration and verification testing of the developed system/product. * Contribute to the continuous development of systems and business processes. * Provide project data performing presentations and demonstrations as required. * Pre-emptive technical risk management.
