Software Developer

My client is looking for a software developer to work on pojects as well as support their existing systems. You will need knowledge of the full software development lifecycle. You will need strong technical skills using Microsoft products, and be able to become a valued team member that can motivate others. You will primarily be coding and back end development for websites, services and applications. You will need to assist team members, highlight and solve varied problems when needed. Your responsibilities: * Develop in-house software for processing and manipulating large data sets * Maintain and adapt current inhouse and outsourced solutions using (url removed) * Design and implement in-house software solutions using a variety of different data sources * Be a member of a small development team that provides support to internal and external clients Essential Skills: * Experience with (url removed) (MVC) and C# using visual studio * Knowledge and experience with MS SQL Server * Strong in all aspects of programming and proficent in object orientated programming * Knowledge of processing and maipulating large data sets * Understanding of design patterns and frameworks * Stong communication skills * Provide examples of developing technical projects from a ‘hands on’ perspective Desirable Skills: * Working knowledge of Microsoft BI (mainly SSIS) * Source control experience (TFS, GIT) * Windows server administration knowledge * HTML, CSS, XML experience * PHP and Java knowledge would be useful but not essential Candidate Spec: * A Degree in Computer Science or a similar discipline * Ability to prioritise multiple tasks efficiently * Good understandign of workflows and processes * Great verbal and written communication * Commitment to quality The Package: The company provides an on-site café, restaurant, nursery, fitness suite, commuter bus and estate organised sports and social events.
