Software Test Team Leader

Title: Test Team Leader Location: Stoke-On-Trent Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + 10% Bonus + Gym Membership + Life Insurance A worldwide award-winning on-line company is looking for an experienced hands-off software test leader to lead a team of manual testers. We are looking for a natural leader who can bring their skills and intuition to the table within this fast paced environment. You will help assist in driving the provision of a capable, reactive, and motivated delivery focused testing team. This is a leading online company who employ over 3,000 people. They are one of the largest companies within their sector who are always continuing to develop technologies, and who pride themselves on being real innovators. Role Purpose * Plan, organise and report on testing of projects and support packages * Effectively communicating and escalating where appropriate * Take ownership of work estimation ensuring accurate portrayals of effort can be obtained, and subsequently delivered on * Be an active communicator both in and outside the test team by attending and contributing to different department meetings * Apply active governance around quality, rules, standards and processes within the team * Ensure regulatory and PCI standards adhered to across the testing team Main Skills * Software testing * Leading large and diverse teams * Understanding of the software development cycle * Communication skills of all levels * Ability to work and think under pressure * Ability to multi-task This is a hands-off fast paced role with a team of around 20 hands on testers in an innovative company, and we are looking for someone who is vibrant, ready to hit the ground running and is not afraid to test the norm
