Senior Software Engineer Defence / Aerospace Stevenage Permanent Position 50-60K+Benefits A global organisation involved with the development of safety critical software for the defence / aerospace sector has a fantastic opening for an experience Senior Software Engineer to strengthen their existing development team based in Stevenage. Essential skills and experience include: Significant development of Real time embedded software for critical systems Significant of experience in development in C language Solid experience in development in Java language Experience in code management system for software development: Clearcase, SVN, GIT Experience in bug tracking systems: Clearquest, redmine, JIRA, Jenkins Experience in requirements traceability: DOORs, Reqtify Experience in code verification: Unit test frameworks, Integration Experience in rules and tools for code coverage: VectorCast, Logiscope Significant experience with software engineering standards and tools (version control, problem reporting systems, and software build systems). Excellent command of the English language; very good oral and written communication skill Write clear and concise developer and user-level documentation Desirable skills and experience include: Experience in software architecture: technical specifications, architectural design, detailed design Experience in documentation generation tools: FrameMaker, Microsoft office, LaTeX Experience in development in Ada language Suitable candidates for this role are likely to come from a strong academic background in a Software Engineering related discipline and have had significant commercial development experience in safety critical software development in Embedded C and Java
