Developer (Application Architectures)

Developer (MOD Applications)/ West Wiltshire/ £400Ltd per day My client is a well respected defence company who is currently experiencing an ongoing period of growth and success. Due to an ever increasing workload, they are currently looking to recruit 3 Developers to join their dedicated team of IT professionals. The rate of pay on offer is £400Ltd per day. Please find the role description below: Role description Support Lead Architect to define the characterisation of existing MoD applications and the migration options available to re-host them within the new platform (DaaP) environment. Activities: The developer will: * Request access to application documentation. * Where documentation not present or not available, gain knowledge of application from application owners. * Gather characteristics of applications using the DaaP questionnaire. * Update the Defence Application Register where necessary Knowledge and skills required: The developer will have some experience of different application architectures, including Web based, client/server and standalone thick client. They will be excellent communicators and have a collaborative working style. Experience of cloud based technologies, modern software stacks, application architectures and agile development toolset is desirable.
