Our client is currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a 1st Line Desktop Support Analyst to join there team based in St Albans, Hertfordshire looking to pay £20-22k pro rata. The strong Desktop Support Analyst will be responsible for 1st line desktop support, you will have excellent trouble shooting skills with the ability to go the extra mile. The established Desktop Support Analyst will have experience working with the below technologies: - Windows - Exchange - Ideally - Active Directory RESPONSIBILITIES - Carry out regular daily system checks and log all results or raise tickets requiring action: ie backup monitoring, disk space available, system availability. - To provide 1st line response to IT problems logged by staff and either respond directly or to escalate them to other IT support staff or our external support company. To use the call logging system to record actions and time taken on calls. - To carry out general maintenance tasks on PCs, scanners and those printers without support agreements and to log the maintenance. - Assist, as requested in provisioning of new equipment of restoring of existing hardware. - Liaise with the external support company`s staff to handle call escalation and also with other suppliers regarding faults. Maintain `spare` equipment to replace faulty PCs, laptops and printers and make sure that used equipment is replaced. - Take ownership of incidents ensuring regular updates occur to end users of progress. - Follow up with third party suppliers of services and resources to ensure timely delivery or resolution. - Follow directions given by senior IT members.
