3rd Line Technical Consultant - c£40k
Our Microsoft Gold Partner IT Services client is looking for a 3rd Line Technical Consultant. This is a fantastic and exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation delivering cutting edge solutions to their client base.
As a 3rd Line Technical Consultant you will be seen to be the "Go to Person" that the more junior engineers should look up to and should look to for guidance and advice. You should also be the Expert that clients turn to when needing advice or assistance with setting strategy.
Technical skills & Experience (desirable)
Current Microsoft Certified Technical Specialist (MCTS).
Excellent knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems.
Excellent knowledge of server operating systems.
Excellent knowledge of MS active directory and Group Policy.
Very good knowledge of MS Hyper-V.
Excellent Microsoft Exchange skills.
Very good Microsoft SQL skills.
Excellent understanding of e mail troubleshooting, using Microsoft exchange hosted services.
Excellent knowledge of DNS. (and understanding its role in internal networks and external networks).
Excellent knowledge of IT network theory and technology. Routers, firewalls, switches, wireless.
Experience
At least three years’ experience in a helpdesk environment.
At least three years’ experience in a 2nd line technical role.
