Job Title: Modelling & Analytics Manager Location: London Salary: to £75,000 + car allowance, bonus & benefits Our client, a successful and established financial services organisation is looking for a Manager to lead their Decision Science Analytics team at their offices in London. You will be responsible for leading the development, validation and maintenance of credit risk scorecards. You will lead scorecard implementation, cut-off strategies, oversight of scorecard monitoring, and related recommendations regarding scorecard re-alignment or re-development. As a Manager you will: • Develop and manage development of credit risk scoring and underwriting models • Utilize customer information and behavioural scoring models to enhance collection and borrower retention strategies • Oversight post implementation monitoring of all scorecards to ensure discriminatory power, stability, and accuracy is within tolerance limits • Work with the data team to ensure that data is fit for purpose, is optimized for analytical work, and new data sources are integrated • Work with Analytics teams to analyse and recommend appropriate cut-off strategies • Liaise with business stakeholders to understand modelling requirements, and provide direction and oversight on model use • Manage development and monitor champion/challenger strategies • Evaluate next generation tools to reduce scorecard development time without degrading benchmark performance • Lead a small team which is likely to grow, and be responsible for ensuring colleagues have a clear understanding of the business objectives and how their role contributes to them • Manage costs within budget parameters • Identify, initiate, and champion a culture of continuous improvement and business change What do you need to apply? • Significant experience as a scorecard developer preferably from within a Credit Risk function • Expertise and experience in credit scoring and other statistical modelling techniques • Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate with people at all levels in an organisation • Ability to influence and challenge constructively, particularly at Head of Function level • Ability to lead, coach and mentor a team • Rigorous attention to detail • Strong understanding of consumer credit, preferably in the non-standard sector • Advanced programming ability in either SAS, SQL or R as well as MS Office package • Skills and ability to communicate complex analytics results in a clear and concise manner • Ability to manage workload by producing timelines, schedules, and project plans • Understand the requirements of an FCA regulated business • A degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Sciences, Operation Research or Econometrics Please send your CV or call us on (Apply online only)
