Job Description

In order to support our client’s growth due to a number of recent significant contract wins they are looking for an IT Support engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity ideally suited for an experienced 1st Line Engineer looking for their next role in the world of IT Managed Services. The role offers training, development and the chance to joining an experienced team with a broad technical knowledge base. This varied role combines both technical and commercial elements - it is a combined help-desk & IT support post with lots of varied and interesting projects. On the technical side you will provide remote help, over the phone and on site help on a 1st and 2nd Line basis. Commercially, you will communicate to end users through e-mail, via the telephone and in face to face meetings. Experience: A minimum of 2 Years+ experience in; Supporting users on MS Windows (Vista up to Windows 8.1 + ideally 10) Office applications, Accounts packages, Printers, and dealing with IT users on business networks. providing remote, phone, on-site and email support. Windows Server administration (2008 onwards), Building Windows desktops to-spec from scratch Configuring routers, installing networks, printers and file-servers, Working with Windows Server Domain-based networks. Troubleshooting browsers, networking and routers. Servicing machines back to health. Setup or support of Office 365, Google Apps, Hosted Exchange or other cloud technologies. Backup systems, data recovery, and encryption. Any Experience in the maintenance and administration of websites is desirable but NOT essential (Wordpress, Joomla, HTML, PHP, CSS). Desirable Qualifications:. Microsoft MCPs/MCSA (Desktop, Server or Cloud), Undergraduate degree in Computing/Computer Science considered, CompTIA A+/N+/S+ Desirable: A full, current UK driving licence and use of own vehicle In return you will be remunerated with a salary of c£20k, rising to c£22k after 3-6 month pay review based on meeting objectives + Training and Development + Benefits Package (inc company performance related bonus)
