Java Developer

Senior Java Developer We are working with a market-leading management consultancy who specifically require a Senior Java Developer to be based with one of their top government clients. We are looking for a talented software developer to join their agile team. You'll work alongside other skilled and motivated people, in a culture that promotes openness, participation and ownership. We are specifically looking for a good communicator and team player who is open to learning and at the same time, providing key development expertise. You would be involved within a digital transformation programme and work on a highly confidential, greenfield project. For this particular role, we require a Senior Developer who is very experienced in programming with the Java application. The following skills and experience is required; - Java 8 - Spring MVC - Agile - Spring Boot - RESTful APIs - TDD/BDD - Pair Programming - Commitment to writing clean code and comprehensive, clear tests understanding of web services (particularly REST), their pitfalls and best practice good knowledge of relational and non-relational databases and ORMs e.g. Hibernate - Experience with build tools, particularly Gradle - Commitment to designing scalable, robust, secure, maintainable systems keen to pair program and share knowledge with other team members For this position, you must also be eligible to go through the SC Clearance process
